RETURNS/REFUND POLICY
We like to keep our returns and exchange policy as simple as possible as we hope to ensure every one of our customers is happy with their purchase experience and our service.
At FM Formal Wear we know that sometimes it is difficult purchasing online as you have to go by the photographs and description available and sometimes when you receive the item it is not exactly what you imagined it would be. We do our best to ensure our photographs are as accurate as possible, but we are sure you can appreciate that sometimes lighting and different monitors can slightly alter the colour of an image.
You must notify FM Formal Wear within seven (7) days of purchase or receiving your item, if it was posted to you, if you wish to return it. Items can be returned for either a store credit or an exchange and must be received within fourteen (14) days of advising us you wish to return something.
What is eligible for a return?
- Returns must be received within 14 days of date you received your order or made your purchase in store, whichever is the latter.
- Clothing must be free from deodorant, make up and any other stains and/or.
- All items must be in original, unwashed condition, with the tags still attached.
- Items marked as ‘Discontinued Sale’ are not eligible for exchange or return (excepted where the items are faulty under consumer law guidelines).
- Contact us for a return form
- Complete the return form and put it in the postal bag with the item/s you are returning
- Post the package and advise us of the tracking number
- FM Formal Wear will not be held responsible for loss or damage if items in transit

A Store Credit is a code, to the value of the item purchased, that can be used on a future purchase with us. A Store Credit will be issued via email with a code. The code will be linked to your email address, so you must use the same email to redeem. Once your item is received back and checked you will be emailed a code to the value you paid for the item/s, less any postage fees.
Store credits are usually processed within two (2) business days of receiving your item/s. If your code has not been received within a few days, please check your junk/spam folder. If you cannot locate it, please contact us and we will re-issue the form.
How do I arrange an exchange?
If you found that the size or colour of your item wasn’t quite right for you, we welcome you to exchange it.
If you would like to exchange your item for a different style, please let us know as soon as possible so that we can issue an invoice for any price variance that is above the original purchase price.
What if something is wrong with my order?
In the rare event that you receive a faulty or incorrect item with your order, please reach out to us at sales@fmformalwear.com.au or call us on 0424 748 208 to advise of the issue. Please have your order number ready and advise the name of the item received, so that we can assist you and find a solution as quickly as possible.
Can I return items that are discontinued and on sale?
Sale items are eligible for return or exchange, however, items on sale due to being discontinued are sold at a heavily reduced price and cannot be returned. If, however, there is a fault with the item, we will be more than happy to find a solution, as per consumer law.
Shipping Charges for returns
All shipping charges for returning items to us must be paid by the returnee and we would highly recommend that you return your item/s via a traceable postage method. FM Formal Wear does not reimburse for return postage and cannot accept liability for items lost in the mail.

A. Yes, you can return it, as per our returns policy.
Q. Do you offer refunds on returns?
A. We want you to be happy with your purchase; however, we are unable to offer refunds for change of mind, incorrect size selection or deciding you don’t like the item.
If you are unsure about the fit, or the style of any of our products, please get in touch as we will be more than happy provide you with whatever information you need to ensure you make the right selection. There are size guides on all Dresses, Vests, Pants, Shirts & Suits, so please refer to them for sizing. Each product may differ, so always use the guide on that specific product.
Q. Can I exchange an item, if I have already exchanged it from my original purchase?
A. Unfortunately not as we can only provide one free exchange per order.
Q. I used a discount code on my order, so what happens if I return my item?
A. We will provide an exchange or Store Credit to the value of the discounted amount.
